SAPAC: SAPAC held an interim Board meeting on the sidelines of the GOPAC 2023 Parliamentary

The delegates from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Maldives met on the sidelines of the parliamentary dialogue to select a new interim Executive member of SAPAC to discuss strategy. The meeting elected Mr. Jagannath Khatiwada from Nepal as Chairman Mr. Zahir Uddin Swapon from Bangladesh as Vice-Chair, Hon.  Dr. Kavinda Jayawardana from Sri Lanka as Secretary, and Hon. Mr. Meekail Ahmed Naseem from Maldives as Treasurer. The meeting also discussed ways to accelerate the formation of GOPAC’s national chapters in SAPAC countries and to move from being a Regional Chapter-in-Formation to a full South Asian Parliamentarians against Corruption (SAPAC) at the first SAPAC AGM and elections to be held at the Regional Conference in late July 2023.
