The State of Nations: GOPAC anti-corruption report is a report that analyzes what legislators in a specific member country are doing to propel the anti-corruption agenda forward, highlights successful governance initiatives and pinpoints areas for improvement. Information in the report is gathered when parliamentarians complete GOPAC’s The State of Nations Survey, a self-assessment mechanism, which helps identify action-oriented recommendations for parliamentary led national anti-corruption initiatives.
The State of Nations report contributes to the development of a comprehensive global plan that strengthens parliamentary performance in preventing corruption and in ensuring that the implementation of the UNCAC remains a national priority. It provides a useful learning platform for parliamentarians to share their experiences, build national, regional and international coalitions to implement reforms within Parliament, and identify practical and successful ways to fight corruption.
